The city has five beautiful public parks that offer a variety of passive and active recreation facilities, as well as a public boat launch. All parks are open to the public daily, sunrise to sunset.  Alcohol is permitted in city park and recreation facilities, provided it is in an aluminum or plastic container. Pets are also allowed in outdoor areas, unless posted otherwise, provided they are leashed at all times and accompanied by their owner. Each park offers a variety facilities, the most popular of which are the beach house, picnic shelters, ballfields, trails, and playgrounds.

Reservations

  • Park Shelters & Beach House Reservations required May 1 – October 15
  • Daily rentals 9 am – 9 pm
  • To pay using cash or paper check, please come to City Hall
  • There will be no refund of rental fees if the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days in advance
  • No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather
