The Public Works Department reads utility meters quarterly. Bills are mailed to the property owner on record with the city.  For questions about your utility bill, please contact City Hall.

Payment Options
Utility bills can be paid by cash or check in the following ways:
  • By mail
  • In the drop box located outside the main entrance of City Hall
  • In person during business hours
  • Online through Payment Service Network (PSN)
Online Bill Pay
Please note that the property owner is responsible for the utility bill. Unpaid or delinquent charges may be assessed to the property at the end of the year.
Request a Meter Reading
If there is a change in occupancy, both the outgoing and incoming residents must contact City Hall to request a meter reading. This ensures accurate billing and avoids disputes over charges. Failure to request a reading may result in one party being billed for water they did not use.
Variation in Usage
Large changes in your utility bill may be due to:
  • Leaky toilets or plumbing
  • Faulty meters (often easy to repair)
  • Lawn irrigation systems

 To manage water usage and lower your bill, we encourage residents to:
  • Check for leaks regularly
  • Replace old fixtures with energy-efficient models
  • Use irrigation controllers to reduce unnecessary watering
Water Conservation
During warmer months, lawn irrigation significantly increases city water usage. Seasonal watering regulations are in effect from May 1 through September 1.

Outdoor watering is allowed only:
  • Before 12:00 p.m. or after 5:00 p.m.
  • On odd or even-numbered days, based on your property address
Stormwater Utility Fee
All properties are charged a quarterly stormwater utility fee, which helps fund:
  • Stormwater system operations
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Street sweeping
  • Equipment purchases

 This fee is reviewed annually and may be adjusted to maintain adequate system funding.
